SAVE THE DATES – para ESTE 18

So far there are 2 upcoming planned events for “las fiestas patrias de 2013″  here in the Southern California area. Both of the events have made a call out for any who want to participate in Chilean dance classes which will be FREE and ongoing  BEFORE this 18th of September (with great possibilities of remaining ongoing).  The events are individually listed below, without any type of preferential order.

This Orange County Chilean Fest is hosted Chilenos en el Sur de California AKA Chile America Sur de California, and will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Ted Craig Regional Park, 3300 S State College Blvd in Fullerton, California 92835.

Chile America Sur de California is a nonprofit organization, whose volunteers work with the goal of promoting and make known our Chilean culture in a safe, respectful,  family-friendly environment. They also attempt to help and be a source of information-resources to the Chilean community who reside in Southern California. They request all interested parties to join their Facebook page or to call (949) 292-7194 or  (714) 469-2964.

As for the Chilean dance classes, on the Facebook page of Chile America Sur de California it’s been listed el Grupo Folklórico Chile America Sur de California. They began these classes back in March of 2013 (this year, being their second year of dance).  The invitation is open to all who want to learn the native dances of Chile (cueca elegante, cueca brava, bailes del sur y norte de Chile). The lessons are free and will culminate in a presentation this 18th of September. (1) From the San Fernando Valley:  Take 101 Southbound to 60 East (towards Pomona) – MERGE onto 57 South/orange fwy (towards Santa Ana). Then take 90/Imperial Hwy exit toward Brea. Turn Right onto 90 W/ Imperial Hwy.  Take the first left onto South State College Blvd (signs for Craig Park). Make a U-turn at East Rosalia Dr.

(2) From San Diego: Take the Interstate 5 (towards Santa Ana) Merge 57 North (toward Pomona) take the Yorba Linda Blvd Exit. Turn left onto Yorba Linda Blvd. Turn right onto N. State College Blvd

El Club de Huasos Chile-USA  - FLYER

This fundraiser event, Independencia Chilena, hosted by Club de Huasos Chile-USA,  will be  on Saturday September 14, 2013  at Rancho Los Gavilanes 2327 Ogden Street, San Bernardino, CA 92407.

EL Club de Huasos Chile-USA is a non-profit organization whose fundraising efforts and goal are committed to donate 100% of raised funds for such Chilean causes as the Teleton, La Cruz Roja, and “La Casa Hogar del Buen Samaritano”  in Talca, Chile. El Club de Huasos Chile-USA’s other aim is to unite the Chilean community and Chilean groups who resides here in the Southern California area.

They also want their invited guests to welcome well “the 18th” and so have made a call for all who are interested in the Chilean national dance, La Cueca. The invitation is for all, including their families and the participants include core members of El Club de Huasos USA-Chile. Les invitamos a aprender a bailar cueca y así prepararnos a recibir un buen 18 de Septiembre. Si están interesados en aprender nuestro baile nacional, por favor avisennos para que nos juntemos a practicar. Les pedimos que traigan a toda la familia que quiera aprender y lo mas importante, que nos avisen si están interesados. Las clases son gratuitas y serán impartidas por los integrantes del Club de Huasos.

Este año, nuestras Fiesta Patrias, serán celebradas el dia Sábado 14 de Septiembre de 2013, de 11 AM a 10 PM, en el Rancho Los Gavilanes y contaremos nada menos que con la actuación de don Wilfredo Aguilar, entre otros invitados. Así que por favor aparten ese dia para que nos pasemos nuestro “18 de Septiembre” a todo dar!!!!
